Hi Bloggers & Friends
I have just realised I havn't posted for a while and thought I'd touch base.
Well in regards to my job appliaction and interview............never stood a realistic chance as the person I was up against had 30 years experience (within the same authority) and she wanted a sideways move; and it was granted. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the experience and I was given positive feedback and encouraged to apply again when another vacancy comes up.
On another note, we have had every sort of weather you can think of today; snow, sleet, hail, sun, wind, rain, cloud - everything. Nearly got caught out this morning. We rose early to a wonderful sun rise and went to the local farmers market. We bought lots of organic and delicious foods such as pure meat sausages, steak pies, wild muchrooms, oven bottomed baked bread cakes and thick cut sweet cured bacon.
Anyway as we wandered around the garden centre, the sun went in and the rain and sleet came down, so went home to have a brunchy feast of 'bacon butties'. By which time it had started to snow.
Later I came on-line and found Liz's fantastic blog of her and her husbands world cruise on board the Queen Victoria (see the link on my blog). I intend to follow the blog to the end. From the 11th of March 2009 Liz will be doing the segment of the WC which is very similar to the segment my husband and I will be undertaking next year (to celebrate 10 years of marriage - still have a way to catch Liz up who has recently celebrated 41yrs of marriage - congartulations to you both!!) and we are keen to pick up any guidance or tips.
Well this month we have had a celebratory feast. First it was my birthday early in March and Hubby treated me to a fabulous meal and a couple of B52 cocktails (reminisient of the Commodore Club). Then we celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary with another fabulous meal and pink champagne. later this month we will celebrate hubbies birthday..............no doubt with another delicious meal and bottle of bubbly.
Next month I really must get back on track with healthy eating and exercising regularly again...........well I do wish to look half decent for our mini cruise in August on QV and the pre cruise stay at Chewton in August;).
Anyway bye for now .... just off to cook wild muchroom risotto with a side dish of organic greens (yum, yum).

Anticipation of job interview
Hi There
It has been my day off today and I have spent the most of it job searching. I do have a job that I enjoy. Unfortunatley the team I work with won't accept me as a valued team member. In fact they treat me pretty s****. Yesterday, for example, I was summoned like a dog by another team memember, in front of all the team as well as the assistant team manager, who glared at ME as if I was not responding quick enough to such rude behaviour. I was mortified and initially was routed to the spot in shock. Previously I have discussed my concerns with my manager, but nothing has really changed. The last time I spoke to her about it she stated 'well you are still here', as if it can't be that bad or otherwise I would have left!!! I know I am worth more.
I know that I have a lot to give and it would be fantastic to have a fresh start elsewhere.
Perhaps the work situation is why I have been a mix of being bored yet unsettled in my home life. I do believe to a certain extent we make our own luck and that is why I am actively seeking employment elsewhere. Even in these tough economic times, where there is a will there is a way!!!! Onwards and upwards I say.
I submitted a job application last week and have everything crossed in hoping I benchmark for interview.......I should know by Friday if I am offered an interview. I will let you know.
Just going to do a bit of ironing!!
Bye for Now

Lazy Sunday
Hi There
I can't believe it is the 24th January 2009 already and that the Christmas Merryment
and the New Year Celebrations have been and gone and are now just a memory.
Slowly getting cabin fever today!! Twice this weekend I have got ready to go out and hubby's changed his mind and not felt like it, so we ended up staying in. Next weekend WE ARE GOING OUT to blow the cobwebs away.
You may well be asking why didn't I just go out with my friends.... well you can't pick them up and put them down when it suits; it just wouldn't be fair. And over the years it seams we have juat got into a rut.
I know, only I can change that.
Anyway, I am just going to prepare dinner so bye for now. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

On the other hand I said to my hubby that I feel a little bit bored this evening ..... It may be that ususally we are going away in the caravan for the weekend or going out to the early bar. Nonetheless, I normally always look forward to Fridays!!
Well there is only me and hubby who can liven it up!! Wheres my lippy and purse .... I'm going out!!!
Bye for now and have a fab Friday, what ever you are doing!!!
